Getting to know Moodle is a course that you can use to familiarize yourself with what Moodle has to offer you.
GED Classes are all free. Classes at Jefferson-Lewis BOCES are held Tuesday-Friday 9:00AM- 3:00pm. Evening Classes are held Tuesday & Thursday 4:00-8:00. Classes are also held at Fort Drum and Lewis County. Call to sign up for the Fall classes and register for our Orientation. Call 779-7220 to sign up!

This course is designed to teach U.S. Civics and English to speakers of other Languages. ESOL classes are offered in Fort Drum and at Jefferson-Lewis BOCES. All classes are FREE!
Distance learning is a free program for GED students that need to prepare from home. The criteria for this program include being at least 21 years of age and having a TABE Grade Equivalent of 10.0 in Reading and Math.

The Small Animal Management Program at Jefferson-Lewis BOCES is designed as a two year program for juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in Animal Management. Small Animal Management encompasses the study of dogs, cats, pocket pets, laboratory animals, livestock, equines, and, to a lesser extent exotic species. The emphasis will primarily be on the care and handling of dogs and cats.

The Small Animal Care course is a program that prepares students for college in veterinary technician or a doctor of veterinary medicine.
The New Vision course is for the high school senior who is interested in exploring the health care field. The course includes classroom and clinical rotations. The classroom portion includes infection control, health care systems and anatomy and physiology. The clinical rotation is typically three days per week and includes observation in all areas of the hospital.

The topics covered in this course include medical surgical nursing, obstetric nursing, pediatric nursing, pharmacology, and dosage calculations. The PN Level II course builds on the core knowledge attained in the PN level I course. In this course the student begins to apply the knowledge and utilize critical thinking skills, both in theory and in the clinical setting. At the conclusion of this course the student will receive a PN Certificate and be prepared to take the PN-NCLEX exam. Upon successful completion of the exam the student will be a Licensed Practical Nurse.

English 12 is a commencement level course, which is designed to closely mirror an English 12 course at a component school district. The four major units of study are novel, short story, poetry, and literature on film.
this course is for students who may be interested in the field of education. Involved with this course is a 10 week off campus internship experience. This is an opportunity for students to gain knowledge with other professionals two days a week.
Hospitality is designed to provide students with customer services skills and basic computer skills to be used for employment in the service industry such as restaurant, hospital, hotel, and retail. Students learn professional and personal development such as work ethic, good health habits, grooming, common courtesies, respect for personal and community properties, team work, management skills, problem solving, effective verbal and written communication, and computer skills. Specific workplace skills include all aspects of housekeeping, meal service, front desk intake in a hospital or hotel setting as well as sanitation, table service. table busing, food prep, and dish-washing skills.

A Capstone business program for seniors following a business career pathway, Virtual Enterprise is a simulated business that set up and run by students with the guidance of a teacher/facilitator and a business partner. Students experience all aspects of an actual business environment, serving in departments such as human resources, accounting, product development, and marketing, They engage in "virtual" trade with other practice firms set up by students throughout the world. They participate in Integrated credit avilable will be .5 English, .5 Math, and .5 Economics.

This year in level one, students will become proficient in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish.They will also gain cultural awareness with the introduction of geography, customs, foods, holidays and other cultural information.Students will communicate in Spanish on day-to-day activities by providing and obtaining information, expressing feelings and emotions, exchanging opinions and socializing.Students will understand authentic Spanish documents and literature.
